Description

The working group Research Software Engineering of the NFDI Section Common Infrastructures and the working group Research Software Metadata of the NFDI Section (Meta)data, Terminologies, Provenance jointly invite for two talks and discussions.

The Research Software Ecosystem in action: examples and use cases

Learn how we link software to packages/containers, software to deployments, filetypes to software, ontologies to filetypes, software to training matieral and QA entries to software. Interested in quantitative measures, we have you covered as well.

Introduction to maSMPs metadata schema

A Software Management Plan (SMP) is an awareness tool for researchers to describe their research software and corresponding life cycle while also following some good practices. Machine-actionable SMPs add a metadata layer to SMPs so research software and corresponding plans can be better interconnected to other research artifacts. In this session we will introduce the maSMP metadata schema developed at ZB MED and already adopted by OpenEBench and the Software Management Wizard.
