We are pleased to invite you to a workshop on „Energy Landscapes" on September 20th, from 9 am to 2 pm (including a joint lunch), at Telegrafenberg, Building C. This workshop aims to foster collaboration and exchange within GFZ and RIFS.
Landscapes develop over geological timescales and generate, store and transform matter, energy, carbon etc.. These landscapes are increasingly transformed by human interventions - sometimes deliberately but mostly unintentionally. In this workshop we plan to start a discussion on how we can move forward to explore these transformations and to come to a better understanding of „energy landscapes“ that allows for sustainable future landscape development and facilitates sustainability transformations.
During the workshop, we will:
1. Build on insights from our previous workshop on energy landscapes (Note: Participation in the energy landscapes workshop is NOT a prerequisite for this workshop).
2. Discuss possibilities for joint research on the topics of „Energy/matter/carbon Landscapes"
3. Exchange ideas and updates on the future of in the framework of the Earth & Environment program in POF V.
