Description
This event is organized and supported by the Interest Group Machine Learning ML@Telegrafenberg (AWI, GFZ and PIK) and the Early Career Scientist Section of Geo.X and sponsored by Helmholtz Information & Data Science Academy.
Goal
The goal of this training is to learn how to effectively use ChatGPT and Gen AI tools like GitHub Copilot* for research work and writing Python code. * The specific tools are still pending.

NOTE: Registration will be open from July 18 to August 01, 2024 at 12 pm. The number of participants is limited to 25.
Target Group
The course is aimed at Helmholtz researchers and partner institutions, but we will also admit a limited number of researchers from other institutions. The course is appropriate for learners with no or limited previous experience with ChatGPT and Generative AI.
Important Information
After you filled in the registration form, you will receive an automated notification that you have registered, which is NOT yet a confirmation.
We will send out confirmations as soon as possible after the registration is closed. If you receive a confirmation, you will NEED to reconfirm your attendance between September 10 - 12 via e-mail (you will receive an e-mail about this on September 10). If you do not reconfirm in the given timeframe, your spot will be given to a person on the waiting list.
If you can't attend the course for any reason, please send a cancellation note with the title of the course in the subject line.
