The aim of the Supervision Day is to create a forum for to rethink and further develop your supervision concepts. 

What you can expect

Keynote "Effective Supervision of Doctoral Candidates"

The interactive keynote provides an overview of central topics that contribute to an effective supervision. It covers the relevant phases and steps of the supervision process from onboarding to thesis completion. It also addresses vital aspects such as questions of effective communication, feedback and conflict resolution. Lastly, the keynote will also provide advice on how to provide the much needed extra motivation for a timely thesis termination, the last push.

Group Coaching 

During the group coaching sequence, we will develop actionable solutions together using examples for classical challenges and your personal experiences. The session allows us to dive deeper into topics covered in the keynote and focus more concretely on challenging aspects of your individual supervision situation.

Interactive workshops "Recruiting and Onbaording of doctoral candidates" 

The afternoon workshop will address the challenges and pitfalls when it comes to recruiting doctoral candidates. Also, it will address how organize crucial onboarding phase to clarify mutual expectations and obligations, and to create positive dynamics from the start. The first phase of the doctoral project lays the foundation for the success of following months and years until project completion.
