Objective of the workshop

The transformative potential of Artificial Intelligence (AI) contributes to the achievement of the goals of a green transition in Europe. Current examples include non-target screening (NTS) and the characterisation of chemical mixtures and toxicity drivers in environmental samples, the derivation of quantitative chemical exposure data, the harmonisation of HRMS data, and the modelling of hazardous effects.

With this workshop we aim to gather perspectives and address the needs related to AI-based methods in environmental monitoring. Our target audience includes the NORMAN members and interested stakeholders from research communities and regulation.

On the first day presentations will be provided in hybrid format and on the second day on-site discussion groups will take place.

Ultimately, our goal is to initiate an AI strategy for the NORMAN network.
