Topic 3 Days

 

We cordially invite scientists, PhD students, and technical staff working in Topic 3 to the first on-site meeting of Topic 3 “Living on a Restless Earth – Towards Forecasting Geohazards”.

The meeting will take place at the Helmholtz Centre Potsdam GFZ German Research Centre for Geosciences in Potsdam, on March 20-21 2024 and will bring together scientists from GFZ and GEOMAR.

The goals for the Topic 3 Days are

• to present and discuss your latest research results, 
• to get to know your colleagues from GFZ and GEOMAR and
• to identify emerging research themes and develop collaborations within Topic 3.

 

The Topic 3 Days are divided into two days:

Day 1: Day 1 will focus on the scientific aspects. Scientists involved in Topic 3 are warmly invited to share and discuss their research results and activities. The day will feature short oral sessions for each of the four subtopics within Topic 3, including a subtopic overview and two engaging highlight talks. In addition, there will be a poster session where everyone will have the opportunity to present their research. This day will take place on the GFZ campus in House H, VR 1-3.

Day 2: The second day is reserved for internal discussions among the members of the Topic Board. These discussions will take place in building. A42, room 129.

Take advantage of this opportunity to network with your Topic 3 colleagues and actively participate in shaping the research within Topic 3. We look forward to your presence in Potsdam.
