The PostDoc Days will take place at the AWI Bremerhaven, Am Alten Hafen 26, 27568 Bremerhaven, building D, Hörsaal and "Beim Eisbär".
From Bremerhaven central station, it takes about 10 minutes by bus to get there.
Hotel rooms & travel forms (for Postdocs not working at AWI Bremerhaven)
A hotel room contingent in Bremerhaven has been reserved at the City Hotel Bremerhaven:
Arrival: May 19, 2025 (from 3 p.m.)
Departure: May 20, 2025 (until 10:30 a.m.)
Participants can book reserved rooms by stating the password “AWI Postdoc Days” via E-mail until May 11, 2025. For bookings, the corresponding billing address of the respective AWI location is required.

Please complete your travel application form as follows:
1) Under "Application" you fill out the application as usual. The only exceptions are
2) Please do not forget to enter the expected total costs for the business trip (hotel, travel expenses, daily allowances...)!
3) Send the application to PROCEED, we will enter the cost center and send a copy of the form to the travel department, and the original form back to you.
Childcare
Would you like to take part, but don't know who can look after your children during this time? No problem!
The AWI Family Office offers childcare during the Postdoc Days. If you would like to use this service, please contact Wini from the Family Office: familienbuero@awi.de
Reminder
Please keep in mind that the Postdoc Days are free of charge for you, but cost the AWI money (e.g. for catering, payment of speakers and trainers etc.). Therefore, we kindly ask you to make sure that you have no other commitments during the Postdoc Days. Cancellations at short notice, which we unfortunately receive more and more frequently, are not only annoying for us, but also very expensive.
