This is a social hiking in the Schönfelder Hochland area of Dresden, including the Napoleonstein, known from the 261 bus stop on the way to HZDR, some beautiful viewpoints, and a castle. It will be a very German-feeling, rural experience, far away from the regular tourist zones. In the evening, we will hop onto public transport and relax on the cozy christmas market in Loschwitz. The hike is ~15km long and doable for beginner-intermediate hikers.
Please register for the hike using the registration form. Incase of very bad weather, it is possible that we postpone the hike by a week, even on short notice. If this happens, we will inform registered people via email! We will also send further information like a packing list via email.
The hike will start at 10am from the bus stop Weißig Einkaufszentrum. We will also have some meeting points in the city, which will be announced soon. Since the transport is with DVB, please bring your Deutschlandticket, Semesterticket or similar.
We will have a lunch break around 12, please bring your own lunch and enough drinks for the whole day. For dinner, there will be food and drink choices on the christmas market, for which it's useful to have some cash at hand.
